From Massachusetts

The highway route to the Spaulding

  • 95 North to New Hampshire (becomes the NH Turnpike, tolls = $2.00)
  • As you approach Portsmouth, take the left exit (Exit 4) for the Spaulding Turnpike North (White Mts) (Rt. 16)

The scenic route to the Spaulding

  • Find your way to 495 North (Use 95/128 to Route 3 North or take 93 North.)
  • Take Exit 51B from 495 "Main St., Plaistow NH" which is Route 125 North.
  • Follow 125 North to the Spaulding Turnpike North, marked "Alton, Ossipee, Sanford".

From the Spaulding

  • At end of the Spaulding (after Exit 18) continue on Route 16 North for 2 miles
  • At the first light, go right on Route 153 North to Sanbornville
  • After four miles on Route 153, you are in Sanbornville. At the stop sign, you will see the Poor Peoples' Pub in front of you. Turn right. (Witchtrot Rd., becomes Canal Rd.)
  • Bear right at the fork after 4 miles (Yield sign) (Canal Rd. becomes Newbridge Rd., but the sign is hidden.) Go one more mile to our driveway, on the right. Look for the "Fosberry", "Jappe", "Callum Belfer" signs, the house numbers 97-99-101) Our house is #99, the first one on the right at the end of the driveway. (Or, the middle of the three you can see. )

From New Hampshire

  • Find your way to Route 16/ Spaulding Tpke. We are south of Conway, north of Rochester.
  • Take 109 south into Sanbornville. At the Rt. 153/Poor People's Pub intersection, go straight ahead . (Witchtrot Rd., becomes Canal Rd.)
  • Bear right at the fork after 4 miles (Canal Rd. becomes Newbridge Rd., but the sign is hidden.) Go one more mile to our driveway, on the right. Look for the "Fosberry", "Jappe", "Callum Belfer" signs, the house numbers 97-99-101) Our house is #99, the first one on the right at the end of the driveway. (Or, the middle of the three you can see. )

From Maine

  • Maine Turnpike or Route 1 to Route 109 North, Wells
  • Take 109 North through Sanford to Acton.
  • After crossing Route 11 (Mousam Lake), look for The Potting Shed restaurant on your right. Check your mileage here miles below are cumulative.
  • Continue on 109 past the Acton Fire Station (1.2 miles) and the sign for Wilson Lake (2.5 miles). Turn right at Canal Rd. (3.7 miles) as 109 curves to the left. There is a small convenience store on the corner, and a small sign for the Acton Veterinary Service.
  • Bear left at the fork (4.2 miles). (Newbridge Rd.) Our driveway is the third one on the left (4.6 miles), marked "Jappe", "Fosberry", "Callum Belfer", # 97-99-101. The house is to your right at the end of the driveway.
